|
The Central Appliances is the family of Akab appliances dedicated to management, storage, central correlation and long-term analysis of data coming from the different peripheral AkabSensors. Central Appliances have fundamental role as they implement and run various Anomaly Detection and Event Correlation algorithms on data coming from the AkabSensor appliances.
AkabMaster (AM) AM (AkabMaster) is a single console appliance for centralized management, configuration and update of the entire Akab architecture.
AkabCollector (AC) AC (AkabCollector) is an appliance that incorporates the functions of collecting, storage and real-time correlation of Akevents sent by the single AS appliances on the network. AkabCollector appliances gather various aspects of problems detected in different points of the network by the different types of AkabSensors and launch appropriate notifications/countermeasures. They represent the first points for first level gathering and centralized processing of information coming from the peripheral sensor appliances. Main functionality:
AC appliances performed real-time collection and correlation of Akevents originated from different types of AkabSensors.
Akab Report (AR) AR (AkabReport) is an appliance that incorporates the centralized Akevent database and manages the functions of storage, search and reporting of Akevents.. It stores both data detected from the different sensor appliances and data processed and elaborated from higher level appliances for report and statistics purposes.
Data presentation AkabMaster is the only Akab appliance with UI (AkWeb) for data and system management. AC and AR are supporting appliances managed by the AM appliance. |
